trying to understand notation for B-splines
Can you be a bit more specific? Which notation is confusing?
There is one B(x) quadratic spline (model quadratic B-spline),
and n+2 B_j(x)'s made up from B(x) with transformation.
B_0(x) has only the last branch in the domain of interest,
B_1(x) has only two last branches in the domain of interest,
B_2(x) has all its three (nonzero) branches in the domain of interest, etc.
The peak of B_0(x) is outside the domain of interest,
the peak of B_1(x) is on t_1,
the peak of B_2(x) is on t_2, etc.
